MOD LIVIN’ AND GUS* MODERN ANNOUNCE JANUARY “KEEP ON GIVING!” PROMOTION TO SUPPORT LOCAL FOOD BANKS
DENVER – Mod livin’ Modern Furniture http://www.modlivin.com/ and Gus* Design Group Inc., the Toronto-based home furnishings manufacturer, today announced the launch of its sixth annual “Keep On Giving!” event, a promotion which offers consumers a discount on modern furniture when they donate to local food banks.
Throughout the month of January, customers that bring 3 non-perishable food items into Mod Livin’ will receive 15% off the MSRP on Gus* Modern upholstery, dining, storage, lighting, and accessories. Colorado customers get a extra incentive to buy local, mod livin is going to be paying all sales taxes incurred during their Gus Modern purchases. Collected food will be distributed by Mod Livin’ to local Denver food banks.
“The Keep On Giving Event is designed to encourage all of us to think about those in need in our communities – not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year. Inevitably, donations are collected from customers, friends and nearby businesses that have zero to do with a furniture purchase. This event isn’t just an opportunity to score the couch you’ve been staring at all year, it brings our wonderful community together,” said Amanda Lezan, Mod Livin’ store manager.
The Gus* Modern furniture collection is characterized by clean-lined upholstery and functional dining, lighting, and accents, all inspired by mid-century classics. The promotion will apply to all pieces in the Essentials line, which consists of in-stock furniture in a variety of finish options. All of the upholstery frames in the Gus* Modern line, including the great condo-sized LOFT Series, are produced with FSC-certified wood, in support of responsible forest management.
The promotion runs throughout the month of January at Mod Livin’, 5327 East Colfax Ave, Denver, CO. For more information please visit http://www.modlivin.com (http://www.gusmodern.com/) orhttp://www.modlivin.com/

Remember last year’s Yard Sale at Mod Livin’? That was fun. We’re doing it again this year, except the prices are lower, and so’s the floor. Next level. We’re cleaning out our closets at home and the showroom. Deeply discounted floor models (queen-sized bed, media stand, dining tables) and items from our dealer’s personal collections. The basement will be closed Thursday and Friday (10.10 & 10.11) in preparation, reopening on the morning of Saturday, October 12th. Sale’s on: Come and get it, friends.
Wallpaper has become a lost art. It isn’t just for your nana and Zsa Zsa Gabor. It can be modern and simple or elaborate and highly detailed. That element that ups the ante for a space. But, let’s be honest, it’s also a little terrifying: buckets of paste and matching of seams are enough to make any violet shrink. Lucky for Denver, we have the ladies of Covered Wallpaper. Curating an incredible selection with the best of the best from America to Japan and everywhere in between. Join us on September 21st to learn more, check out books of beautiful wallpaper pages, and have all your questions answered by experts. (And, because we’re us, drinks will be served.)
