Paul McCobb, the American furniture designer whose work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as well as the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, became a household name in the 1950’s, earning himself the nickname “America’s Decorator”. Also included in this exhibit will be examples from the Heywood-Wakefield Company, a US furniture manufacturer that was established in 1897 & made famous after introducing their iconic steam-bent pieces post World War II.
