Mod Livin’ + Marczyk Fine Foods Present: Drink & Be Rosy | An evening tasting of over 20 Rosés from Fairfax Wine & Spirits

On Saturday, June 8, from 6:30-8:30PM, Mod Livin’ will host a wine tasting in the showroom to benefit Denver’s own Andre Center, which provides clinical education and navigation services for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.  Their efforts since May 2006 have reached over 600 clients in 54 countries throughout the State of Colorado.  Andre Center for Breast Cancer Education and Navigation is a highly esteemed grass roots operation, a bit about what they do from executive director, Sandra Walters,

“When someone is newly diagnosed with cancer, being able to talk with a clinical expert about their particular situation and next steps is priceless.  When calling the Andre Center, clients will always have access to a registered nurse who specializes in breast cancer and who can help sort through the information they’ve already been given or help identify questions to ask and understand what the next steps toward treatment might be.  The service continues to rely on donations and be offered at no cost to the public.”

We only have room for 100 people; be sure to RSVP before it fills up!  Admission is free with a suggested donation of $15 per person.

Also on deck for the evening, some amazing giveaways from Fairfax Wine & Spirits (delicious wine), Mod Livin’ (a reinvented Blu Dot coffee table), Solera Restaurant ($100 gift certificate for dinner), & MCA Denver (a family membership).

Mod Livin’ & Gus Modern Announce “keep On Giving!” Promotion To Support Local Food Banks

In an annual effort to start out the new year with a philanthropic bang, Mod Livin’ and Gus* Modern will pair up again collecting canned goods to support the Denver community in 2013

Mod livin’ Modern Furniture  and Gus* Design Group Inc., the Toronto-based home furnishings manufacturer, today announced the launch of its fifth annual “Keep On Giving!” event, a promotion which offers consumers a discount on modern furniture when they donate to local food banks.

Throughout the month of January, customers that bring 3 non-perishable food items into Mod Livin’ will receive 15% off the MSRP on Gus* Modern Essentials upholstery, dining, storage, lighting, and accessories.  Collected food will be distributed by Mod Livin’ to local Denver food banks.

“The Keep On Giving Event is designed to encourage all of us to think about those in need in our communities – not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year.  Inevitably, donations are collected from customers, friends and nearby businesses that have zero to do with a furniture purchase.  This event isn’t just an opportunity to score the couch you’ve been staring at all year, it brings our wonderful community together,” said Amanda Lezan, Mod Livin’ store manager.

The Gus* Modern furniture collection is characterized by clean-lined upholstery and functional dining, lighting, and accents, all inspired by mid-century classics.  The promotion will apply to all pieces in the Essentials line, which consists of in-stock furniture in a variety of finish options.  All of the upholstery frames in the Gus* Modern line, including the great condo-sized LOFT Series, are produced with FSC-certified wood, in support of responsible forest management.

The promotion runs throughout the month of January at Mod Livin’, 5327 East Colfax Ave, Denver, CO. For more information please visit ( or
